Job Summary:
Station manager is in charge of managing and leading spill response. He is responsible of response readiness at all times within his station.
Responsibilities:
Manage day to day base operations and logistics
Provide management oversight, advise and assistance to the Operations & Logistics, the Spill Response Specialists, and other employees.
Assurance that all spill response equipment and support equipment is maintained in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations, SAIL procedures and the applicable regulatory requirementsÂ
Preperation and issuance of reports in accordance with agreed guidelines and timing
Proper implementation of all HSE and other procedures
Responsible for ensuring the safety of all personals and and for the safe execution of all work conducted
Review all HSE and operational issues with the Western/ Eastern Regions Operations Maanger and local staff on a regular basis
Fulfil roles within the incident command system during response activitiesÂ
Accountabilities:
Manage day to day base operations,maintenance and logistics
Ensure that staff, resources and vehicles are allocated in order to deliver operational requirements
Ensure compliance with health and saftey practices
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent; preferably in a technical/ Engineering disciple
3+ years of direct management experience is required
Proven analytical and creative problem solving skills in a detailed manner
Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
